REDUCE 3.6

REDUCE is an interactive program designed for general algebraic computations of interest to physicists, mathematicians, and engineers. Its capabilities include polynomials and rational functions; pattern-matching and simplification of expressions; symbolic matrices; arbitrary precision integer and real arithmetic; rational, complex, modular and algebraic number arithmetic; and analytic differentiation and integration. Several specific application packages for a variety of fields are available. REDUCE is based on PSL (Portable Standard Lisp), a Lisp implementation for high-speed execution. The parts of PSL needed to execute REDUCE are included in the distribution.
